"I have received very good care by Dr. Krizman and her office for the many needs I have had in the last 6 months. I honestly do not know what I would have done had I not found her. I appreciate her biological/integrative approach to dentistry, her technical expertise, her kindness and that of her staff. She has gone out of her way to explain things thoroughly and given me clear options and additional help when I needed it. She is very detailed and careful in her work. I highly recommend her"

Dental Hygiene

Professional cleanings are vital to ongoing oral health. We provide gentle, routine cleanings for children and adults of all ages. When necessary, your hygiene visit may include biological periodontal therapy and probiotic therapy. To reduce periodontal pockets, our hygienist performs scaling and root planing. This deep cleaning removes bacteria from hidden areas between roots and gums and encourages reattachment of gum tissue. Deep cleaning includes cleansing with ozonated water, a step that greatly reduces bacterial count. Ozone gas is insufflated into the pockets to further aid with deep pocket healing. All patients will have a plaque sample taken and viewed under a phase contrast microscope. The evaluation of the plaque sample is a predictor and can determine if a patient has active periodontal disease or has an increased chance to develop periodontal disease.
They say the eyes are the window to the soul. We say that your mouth is the window to your health! When disease exists in the mouth, it is likely to be found elsewhere in the body as well. Periodontal disease has been identified as a risk in the development or worsening of serious conditions, including cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and certain cancers.
