The veneer placement process

She will also perform a thorough examination to make sure that veneers are the best option for you, and to ensure that your mouth is healthy and ready for veneers. For example, if you have active gum disease, Dr. Krizman may recommend a treatment plan for your periodontitis before starting the veneer placement process. She will also answer any questions that you have so you can feel confident in your decision whether to move forward.

Dr. Krizman will prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of enamel (approximately half a millimeter) from the surface of the teeth so that the veneers can be placed without looking bulky or sticking out.
